Rare models

It's difficult to define anything about a J-car as "rare" given than over ten million J-body cars were produced over their 23-year run. However, there are a few option packages that could be considered as "difficult to find".

Sunfires with black roofs

For the 1996 model year, a total of 95,783 Sunfires were made (66,000 coupe and 29,783 sedan). Of those only 263 were made with the GT trim with red interior...I have one (black/red) this was only done for the 1995 and 1996 model years.

So as you can see only 0.27% of the total 95,783 Sunfires made in 1996 were GT trim with red interior...I would consider that rare.

Colored interiors
Third-generation interior options were fairly limited, with the majority being of the tan, medium gray or graphite cloth variety. There were a limited number of cars produced that came with one of the three rarer interior colors:

Blue
Aqua (aka Sea Foam Green)
Red

There was also a white vinyl interior that came on some of the third generation Sunfire convertibles, and a tan vinyl on some of the Cavalier convertibles.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to obtain production numbers that include interior color options.
