alright guys i have a bit of a challenge for you. im trying to find a VIN number a 2003-2006 Escalade or Yukon. the truck is a recovered theft and is stripped. including all 4 doors and the VIN on the dash is also missing. any body parts that could identify it are stripped off the truck. most of the dash and drive train are intact less the air bags.
there is no power to the truck because the harness is all chopped up, the only things i can think of that might help are tan leather interior, wood inserts on the steering wheel and the biggest one is pearl white paint. which we think is escalade only, we have never seen a pearl white Yukon.
any suggestion on where i might find a VIN number, i checked the under the carpet by all 4 doors but nothing. since we work on VIN only i really need to find one, im told i "have to take care of it" so any help would be great.
thanks guys.

usually there is a vin plate on the engine
frame will have a VIN also
it could be a denali , ive seen them in pearl white , and wood trim
other would be to contact GM , or your local law enforcement , or highway patrol , but expect to get grilled as to why your asking for all the other VIN locations
umm usually there is vin stickers placed around on body panels under the hatch bumpers inside the door body panels and under the hood....not hard to find a vin....
is there a sunroof? on my cobalt the vin was put in the sunroof also and also the vin was put in the motor bay to the passager side on the side of the fender look there also.
there should be a vin sticker with all the RPO codes in the glove box.

the truck was stolen and totally stripped, they removed the dash VIN and all the doors and glass are missing. it gets hard when the intent was to remove the VIN, to cover the true identity of the truck.

any idea where the frame VIN would be?
as for getting grilled i doubt it. ill call from work so our name and number come up. and if there not sure ill have them call the adjuster that wrote it off. i was trying to boost it anyway, then i could call onstar and get the info on the truck.
thanks for all the input guys, keep it coming.

Do you not @!#$ read? The truck was stripped in an attempt to cover up what type of vehicle it was. If the thing had a door he would have looked there by now.
Usually the frame does have VIN stamp on it.

Do you? Ever?
Look at the order of the posts, and then re-read that first post: nothing in the first post about the doors being gone.
Next time, look before you leap down someone's throat.

What color is the wood trim? The denali's had a darker wood, like a dark gray. I'm assuming the dash bezel and center console are gone, as those could help identify the car. And last but not least, the body cladding. If they didnt take off the body cladding around the rear wheels, that will definetly tell you which one it is. But if the steering wheel is all you have, just compare pictures from ebay or something.
Is the pcm there?? if it is you get it put in another truck and request info for programing. I'm assuming you have acces to a tech 2 if not contact the local law enforcement, have them take it to a dealer and they go do that for you.
I've done this a couple of times, DPS stopped a guy with a 1985 Silverado with a newer style engine and transmission, pcm, fuse block harness and all, but the serial on the block and tranny were ground off. Leading the troopers to suspect something. The brought the truck to the dealership, we lifted it up and after they were looking for about an hour I clicked and saw that pcm was there and there was a 05 silverado just traded in getting inspected and an oil change. So I took the pcm out and hooked it up to the 05 scanned and retreived info for programing and decoded the vin, all in 15min. after a huge waste of time by the troopers. Poor owner of the truck had him on the service drive for about an hour with troopers all around them. It was stolen out of an 05 tahoe, though, but they did a hell of a job putting it in the older truck. perfect job. Troopers wouldn't let me take pictures.
Escalades have a totally diferent dash if you have a pic of the dash I can tell you right away. and your right about the color the pearl white was cadillac only. If its all wheel drive should have a smaller transfer case compared to 4wd, meaning only single speed transfer case. Don't know hot that will help though considering denali were awd only and escalades 2wd or awd.

do you @!#$ know how to read? i said the door body panels i dont think they cut off the a and b pillars you douche bag now you can go @!#$ yourself, and yea just keep looking aroudn there are vin #'s all over did you guys put the truck up in the air? i know when we pdi cars we have the vin etching stickers (pain in the ass to take off after a couple days) and we put them all over so if the car gets stripped there will usually still be one or two lingering around, check in the jambs and under the bumpers and stuff, the purpose of them is soley if the car gets stripped there will usually be around, did they strip it totally off bumpers and everything? then yea go look around t he frame rails and such and under the hood and under side of the truck

we don't has access to a tech 2, where just a salvage auction. but we do have a lot of escalades so i can find one thats not stripped, im going to check with the boss about trying to plug it into another truck. where not supposed to alter the cars in any way.

we don't have a hoist, we move all the cars with a Volvo loader, where not allowed to get under it in case the car falls, but if where looking for something and know where it is i.e. missing CAT. they will lock the forks and let us under it real quick to inspect it.
the 1/4 mouldings are gone too just bits of double sided tape now.
i think what im going to do is brand it no VIN irreparable and have the MTO come in and reVIN it. t
thanks for all the help guys, the cops won't be much help i think. the truck was stolen in the U.S. recovered in Quebec and sent for salvage auction in Ontario. these guys where pro's
