Important Announcement
It is with great regret that I post this message.
I have received a legal document from lawyers representing General Motors. They have requested that certain information in the forums be removed. In accordance with the order, I have sent them all member information in the database. This includes everything in the registries, such as car information. I will also be sending all forum data for their review.

It appears the purpose for this order is to protect GM from many fraudulant warranty claims. We have seen it before - people that have had problems as a result of their modifications, only to have the repair covered under warranty.
For the time being, the forums have been taken offline, due to the great amount of data that needs to be reviewed. I can not say at this time if or when the forums will be back online.

The above is not true. The letter is of course a fake. The law firm in the letter is in fact a real law firm - they are the firm SCO is using to sue IBM and other Linux users/supporters. I figured there might be a tech geek or two around here that would catch on to that, but I guess not.
Anyhow, everything is back to normal, enjoy.
