Some from the old RK board days might say I have a few stories I could tell about RKSport. Oh, the stories I could tell...

Maybe I'll write a book when I am on my death bed and ready to confess all of my sins. "Sex, Lies, and Sponsorships" sounds like a good title.
you shouldnt have a problem if you know who you talk with and only talk to that one person. like said, its like a doctor, if you have 70 different doctors they all will not know the same story.... ask for one person like said on page one, stick to that one person....

doesnt matter from which company you order from...

I dont see how a company like that can not just punch something into the computer and bam its ordered and the shipping department just gets it and packages it and ships it out.[bold] Its really not that hard to keep orders straight when you are organized[/bold]. Any good company would fix a problem with a customer right away or ASAP at the very least.

Yeah but see the problem here is, when you start building your business and adding employees your ability to stay organized becomes impaired, to what degree depends on the people you hire. I've noticed at every job I've ever had that TONS of people are greatly disorganized. I think it's safe to say that 90% of the people I work with are this way...so if any company hires those disorganized ones thier business is going to start to suffer.
just because you don't place the order with the j-body specialist doesn't mean your order should get messed up. Its like I'm a VW tech at a VW dealership, we fix whatever outr used car department sells, just because I'm a VW tech doesn't mean I should @!#$ up a buick if I need to do somethign on one. Most if these problems aren't people trying to figure out what part they should be using or whatever its RKSport's mess up, plain and simple they droped the ball. Why would I need to talk to a J-body guy to get an autometer gauge? ANyone there should be more then capable of placing that order.
you are def missing the point... i see where you come from however, like i said on page 1

Quote:

you really cant expect 30 different people to understand your issue if they talk to you at different times...

its like a family doctor, you dont have a new one everytime you go to one, you get one and stick to it....

since mike perez is the cavalier/sunfire person, it would make logic to ONLY ask for him.....

dont ya think?

sometimes sticking to ONE PERSON and one person only, you develop a personal relationship....

when you go to the barber shop, theres one person that knows how you like your cut, and there are a few others that will screw your head up....

a vw tech would be more skilled in dealing with VW problems.... hence the reason you are a VW tech and not an "automotive tech"...

you are specialized in the area of which you work...some things are universal, but for the most part you deal with VW's....

same for when you order, if you deal with one person and that person messes up they mess up.... but if you hear one thing from one person, and one thing from another, its called getting the run around....

i dont know about you darkstars, but when i shell out 50-3000+$ or any money, i wanna know who i am dealing with, how long it will take, and if something comes up i know who the heck to talk to cause i only dealt with one person...

I just woke up to the sound of my phone going off, picked it up and it was Jim Wright the head of sales from RKSport. He infrmed me that one of there associates from Jbody.org informed them about this post. It was jim write the head of sales, basically he was calling to apologize about all this, hes like you know there is a paper trail verifying what you said, nobody had any idea it had went this far. hes like we messed up and so did autometer, they did send the wrong gauge but I think Mark the guy you delt with droped the ball on this a few different times and didn't want to say anythign and kept it hush hush from the company, hes like but regardless Mark is no long with us and if you ever want to place another order, somethign like this wont happen again and if you'dlike you can call me directly and deal with just me.

Not sure if I'll be ordering from them anytime in the near future but I am impressed they actually found out who the author of this thread is and to call, apologize, and explain.
Never would have had these problems if Gregg was still there.

Anyone know where Dom is at? Last I heard, he was no longer gainfully employed by RK. I know there are lots of people who would like to know. Maybe I'll hit up some old RK friends and see what I can dig up on Dum Dum.

Dont know much about the company.. but knowing the people who run it and own it... I shall keep my distance.......

But yeah.. anywho.. that shall answer your question....

It costs a company 5 times more to get a new customer, than to retain a current customer. RK should realize this. They lost me on the first transaction I tried with them, and they've lost plenty of others. I know they will still make money with outrageous pricing, but they could have made more.

HATE EM! HATE EM! HATE EM! But they make the best products and you have to deal with there B.S. If your going to order from them order thru someone on here like Karo because then if there's a problem Karo can help you and talk to RKSport otherwise your just a crappy customer that they don't care about cause your a dime a dozen and they will always have some other 16 year old customer to replace you.
Any time I have called them and made a purchase by phone, things went well. But, I tried to make a purchase from them off of ebay, and I had to deal with some lady there. She would not sent me my total due, and would not send me their address so I could send in payment. After several e-mails requesting them to send me my total amount due and their address, They gave me negative feedback on ebay. So, I returned the favor. I totally do NOT understand a business that TRIES to make it difficult for a customer to conclude a transaction. Makes no sense.

i'm still stuck on the detail of buying autometer gauges from rksport...
wouldn't summit or jegs be considerably less expensive?
yeah, rk's prices on the "splitfire" brand i see there are decent enough i guess, but really now...
I'm here. I get to play on the puter for a while at night. I work in the shop all day. Sometimes when I get in it's too late to go calling around the country. Remember, I am in Arizona. When it's only 8pm here, it is 11 pm on the east coast. Also, I return ALL e-mails, everyday.

and i emailed you a long time ago back around dec 30th when you were down for a time on purchasing a pacesetter header, and realized you had pneumonia back then, but even upon your return, i still have not gotten that email back....

so i just bought local...

dont know what else i have to do to GIVE money to people.... but i made my attempts...
Event, I just went back and read the thread in question. You asked a question on 9-01-04, and I answered it on 9-01-04. As far as an e-mail, I just went through mine in-box and did not find one from you.
Now, that could mean that your's was one of the e-mails I get that get deleted so that I can't open them. I have McAfee virus scan and it gets pretty testy sometimes. At any rate, the only injectors we keep are the same ones you can get from RC Engineering. They are all TOP feed type.

thanks,
Mike @ www.cavalierconnection.com
