Are you getting that urge to spend on your ride?
Thursday, February 10, 2005 7:54 PM
For the past 2 winters I kept saying to myself: '' I won't buy anything for my car this year or at least not too much''
But the months go buy and I start to have that itching to spend my hard-earned money on cool stuff for my car.

Last summer was Rims / Tires, Shocks, Springs, Stereo.

This summer I'm thinking W-type, Full coilovers (Gravana?), shaving my spoiler, etc...

I realise my car is mildly modded and will always be, some guys here spend much more money than me on their cars. So how do you guys deal with this ? Do you have the same path in your thoughts as I do? Do you try and hold back but the tuning devil always wins ?

Yeah, probably the main problem with my urge to spend is the lack of funds to back it up.

I got an itch like you can't believe.

$150-$200 to finish my turbo kit, then after I get that on and running, its on to the exterior again for a complete redo. Then some interior stuff and I'll be good I think for the time being... well, I keep telling myself that anyway.

Yeah I have the bug too...I've lost count on the money I've spent on my car and I'm not even close to being done. Currently saving as much as I can for my next mod...I can't wait it should be pretty sick.

Hi, my name is Johnny, and umm, I too am an addict. I'm always looking for ways to mod my car. The only thing thats making me save money...... is to buy rims .

Visor, when you get all that stuff, let me know so i can come have a look .

Actually... I'm proud to say that I made it through most of last year without really spending any money on mods!!

Of course, I was saving for my wedding and really didn't have a dime in disposable income... but I still did it.

Of course... I did have to buy tires... and since the car was in a crash and had to get some body and paint work done anyway I payed out for shaving the antenna and some new door handles... and got the skirts repainted... and at the very end of the year, with the wedding over with, I got the B&M shifter in...

OH GOD, I'M SUCH AN ADDICT!!!

Ah well... it makes me happy.

Now THIS is one area that I'm quite proud of. I've actually stuck to my original plan pretty closely over the years without much deviation at all.

The only real change has been in my suspension where I really had to experiment to figure out what it was that was best for me. As far as overall design stuff goes though... slowly but surely it's all been exactly what I've wanted since the beginning with very little waste along the way.

i'm also ordering the wings west rs lip for the prelude. i gotta get my lowering springs on it and the header.
