"Cavalier Extreme" - The New JBODY Compa
Sunday, March 13, 2005 11:48 AM
Hello everyone!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk to you guys about a new company that I've just opened up called "Cavalier Extreme." The website is no where near finished, and I'm still waiting on a new logo for the site title and a TON of new products to be added.

A few months ago I had the idea of starting up a new J-Body business to assist members on the boards for parts and aftermarket accessories that were just really hard to find from anywhere else. Sure, we're going to offer bodykits, spoilers, performance accessories, and lots more...but we're also going to offer our own, UNIQUE and CUSTOM items (a solution to the cracked dash, the stock steering wheel with a 5.6" fiberglassed monitor, etc.). We have many new products that will be revealed within the next few months that I'm sure the J-Body community is really going to appreciate. I'm also pretty sure that you'll appreciate the prices of these items, as they won't leave your wallet empty like most custom-made products.

Herman and I have teamed up to bring this company to you guys and offer things with no-strings attached. Herman has been on the boards since 1999, and I've been on for nearly a year now. I'm sure everyone is aware of who he is (both of us have drift kits, blue cars, etc.) We both want to provide a company that's NOT going to rip you off, that's going to be there for YOU when you need it, and that's going to offer the products that you're interested in - not just everyday items. All of our orders will also be shipped out with the United States Postal Service Priority Mail system (2-3 day delivery) to insure that our customers are receiving their products on time and without any hassle. I'm aware of all of the controversy going on lately with High Rev Motorsports, Winks, Exploited, etc., and I want to make sure that WE don't fall into those cracks...and I can assure you that we won't.

If an item is going to be back-ordered or taking awhile to deliver, we will be sure to notify you of this before you even purchase the product (thus meaning, it will be listed on the site as "This requires a 4-6 week delivery").

Right now, I've added a Base Turbo Kit to the website for purchase, but it's only a "prototype" design. I have yet to get pictures of everything in the kit, but that will be happening within a few weeks. Also coming up will be a group purchase for the Base Turbo Kit for an even cheaper price...so stay tuned. For more information and details on that, be sure to check out the website: http://www.cavalierextreme.com

As I said, nothing is finished yet, and we're only entering Phase 1 of this company. We have a massive list of products to add to the Catalog, and a massive list of content for the web pages. One of us will be sure to make a post when some of our new products are released so that everyone in the community is aware of what we have to offer.

Thanks for everyone's time and patience. I encourage you to interject with your ideas, hopes, desires, comments, and anything else you might want to add. We hope to be serving you PROPERLY - the way the customer DESERVES to be treated.

Note: If you have any further questions, feel free to shoot out an e-mail to either one of us:

U messed up on tha tentry level turbo kit. To run any boost on the 2200 or 2.2 u need some type of fuel upgrade so that kit isnt everything that u need

Those are add-ons that you can do through us eventually. The 2200 and 2.2l motors are capable of running 4-5 psi without any fuel modifications. That's why it's called the "Base Turbo Kit."

Also note that cavalierconnection.com offers a very similar kit at a higher price with no fuel modifications included (there's is also listed as a Basic Turbo setup).

Cavalier connection similar to yours?? Absolutely not

Yours = Log manifold
CC = Header manifold

Yours = Internal Wastegate
CC = External wastegate

Even though I am not a fan of cav conn, your kit does not really compare to it. Sorry, but an extra $500 for a more efficient manifold and external wastgate I would def go cav. conn

Well, I didn't make the post to argue who's was better or who's was cheaper. I made the post to introduce my company to everyone.

Thanks.

Just things like your tables don't extend to the screen borders. You text body should be closer left. Little things. Also I'm not a big fan of the collors of your text at the top because color blind people will have a reading it. Sorry I should have been more specific, these are just little things. I get griped at for silly little things like this so I notice them right of the bat. One thing i would recommend is moving the paypal logo either to the bottom or at least on the same level as your text.

Not trying to be like "omg your suck at the webpage, and I rawk" cause I don't, just trying help/offer opinion.

FYI... the throttle body positioning on the 2.2 and 2200 are different. the intakes for them are thus different. so by advertising that intake as being for both motors you will have upset customers. that intake will only fit the 2.2 OHV, not the 2200 (without customizationg).

Yeah, I'm actually aware of that. I realized it a long time ago when I bought a 2.2l intake kit for my 2200...it didn't work out We're selling an additional part with the intake kit to adapt for the 2200 motor. No worries!

dont worry about all the nay-sayers, they need lives. Mr. Mckeever, good luck with your business, it looks like your starting off with the right ideas. put in the work and you'll do fine. one suggestion tho- dont get an attitude with people suggesting things, i may be mis-reading your posts, but it sounds like your having a bit of a "bah" attitude of sorts.
again, all the best of luck, and ill be watching!

This is definitely a tough crowd. Diplomacy and good service is key.
