Fair price. I was looking at a 2001 Z24 2 door, black, 5 speed with 59, 100 KM for $10, 400 Canadian.

ahah i'll get ruined on insurance for a vert.......

plus this car is like brand new... he traded it in for for base cobalt because he got into an accident with his company car and his insurance was too high....

So the dealers selling it in mint condition.....

Seems like a good buy... but insurance if a killer. especially where I live like 5 mins from soundspeed.......

8 g's for the z24.. found a better price now....

I think this comes down to the options on it. If it's fully loaded, then it sounds like a deal. If not though... consider that you can buy a brand new Ecotec powered Cavalier for only a little more than that if you've got the cash. If you have to finance it, look into what the monthly cost will be and then look into what the monthly cost will be to finance a brand new one with a full warranty.

One of the reasons our cars depreciate so much is because all the incentives offered make it really easy to get into a new one so you really have to drop the price of a used one in order to move it.

I bought my 2001 Z24 for 8699$ CAD with 86,243 km , its loaded and off lease from GM. I was also convinced into buying a warranty 40000km/2yrs for $799 covers all gaskets, seals, engine, and transmission parts including the halfshafts, and the waterpump Its the taxes that kill you here in Ontario 15% and some more interest, right now i'm saving money to pay it all off so i don't have to pay those mofos at the bank more money. Sometimes i feel like trading it in for a 2.2 OHV sedan to save a bit on gas and insurance. All i want in the sedan is power locks, power windows, AC, CD, tach, {no power windows is also fine, nice project } The 4 door also has better accesibility but only time will tell what i do. Might even go for an 2003+ ECOTEC 4 dr in a few years.

I got my 02 4door Z24 for 11,000$ it had 75000km.

Fully loaded with 4 speed auto.

Cd and casette player. I didn't know Gm had those kind of radio I'm really pleased with the electric mirrors.

It's 2,300$ for both side with my insurance company. that's with a 500$ deductible for my side.

I know it may be a bit high but it was the only one the Gm dealer had in my area.

Consider this:

You can get a brand new Eco Cavalier for less than $11,000. Of course if you want air you have to add $1300 or so.

You can even get the Z Type package (dealer cost is around $1450)

Conclusion: For around $13,500 you can have a brand new car that looks like a Z24, has full warranty, and has an Eco. Plus it has 2 doors.

The insurance premium is also cheaper than a Z24 when you are comparing similar years.

1- if you can find a cavy at 11000$ brand new around here(in quebec) then buy it. Nobody have them anymore.

2- I don't want an Eco

3- between 2300 and 4000$ in insurance, I'll take the 2300$

4- I still have waranty on it

5- When do you expect to see a modify 4 door Z24 in quebec? probably the only one will be me.

6- 4 door will bring my insurance down quite a bit

7- 2door or 4 door are about .1 or .2 of difference in the quarter mile

8- I love my 4 door way better than any 2 door I've drove or own

9- Cops won't bother with a 4 door cavy. A Z24 2 door will be pull alot moer than a 4 door Z24 around here

I can go on and on about that. The lowest cavy with the Gm rebate that I've seen were 13500-14000$ (without option) so I like better paying 3000$ less for the car and 1700$ per year in insurance.

a fully equip new cavy will still be around 16 000$

It's going into the shop next monday (june 6) to get painted free of charge. The delear will do it. It was driving by a 44 years old woman. Brake are new with 1 or 2 ABS sensors and a few other things.
