Ok now on to this whole topic, After all 3 pages again and wasting my 5 minutes of life (that I want back) this is what I have to say.
1. Post all the part numbers that you want! WHY? well if you go to GM you will pay over priced parts. Or you wont be able to get them because they are GONE FOR GOOD! Don't believe me? Well then look up the Toyota Cavalier Key or the Fare Kit!!
2. Why are you all so crying about these parts being to much? Streetline has the best prices on these parts. Yes you can find them SOMETIMES on eBay but I know many people that bought stuff on there and didn't get everything they needed or it was in such poor shape they didn't use it. Then they would end up coming to us to buy the part again! ask me thats a waste of money.
3. I am so SICK of hearing "I can get these parts for lease" or "there to much get them on eBay" or "I can get anything you need". Well then WHERE IS IT?? Go
HERE see that? everything by Toyota Cavalier and with photos!! Why because we are a REAL IMPORTER and we don't clam nothing we just DO IT!
4. So PLEASE stop some of you are so wrong on this and your killing me over it! If you still don't understand or have question just call us we will be more then happy to try to help you on this.
5. For the cars coming in we have no problem bring in anything you need. We have proved it time and time again!!! Just like this TRD Cavalier you look at it as a 8 year old car. BUT! you forget to see that it's 1 of 50, 31,000 miles, and its like NEW! The person we bought this from in Japan NEVER DROVE IT MUCH! So tell me can you find a 8 year old Cavalier that only has 31k miles on it and is all Original?
6. Ok now on to the Isreal Headlights. Well as you can see once again we bring them to you and NO ONE ELSE YET TO THIS DAY CAN! Yes they are a bit high but if you only knew the red tap you have to go through and the taxes you have to pay on these just to get them in from Isreal. Just so you know we have worked out a deal with them over their for 10 sets and we will be doing a group purchase soon and I can sure you that the cost of these headlights will be low!
7. You know if your looking for a Toyota Cavalier stock one we can get you one for much less. All you have to do is call us about it and we can work on finding you something that your looking for. But then again you guys think everything is to much.
Once again don't take any of this as a Attack but you guys are killing me here with claming to know. Trust me I know and my record should speak for us! Thank you again for checking out our auction.

Anyway since you can only comprehend only a small portion of my posts hopefully this will be the part that your able to remember for more then 30 sec. I've been looking for a sorce for those headlights for almost a year now. I'd love to have a set but the price is too high. ( please refer to post where I state I how I have a house and kids ) I have yet to find one that can give me any substantial savings so why bother. But I'll make you a deal, If you start to build the cars better in the first place and not the type of crap you and your buddies have been turning out for us over the past couple years then I'll promiss to keep looking for the headlights. Is this post to me or the next guy above me? I just covered all of this about the lights and how we are working out a group purchase deal for 10 sets from the company over their. Wow, Comming from a guy that works for "GM" and saying that. You should know that GM is at the top of the Quality charts for the past couple of years the only company to beat GM's quality records right now if Toyota and we are gaining on them. Even though the GM haters will say diffrent.
Speedy I missed your post so I'll Try to answer it in the simplest terms so someone such as yourself may be able to grasp what I'm saying. It has nothing to do with "being a lazy parts person" It has to do with what G.M. will and will not ship. If you have never heard of whats called a spac 88 case then let me brake it down for you. If you order a part for your car and G.M. is either in short supply or ITS FOR AN EXPORT ONLY CAR
then it gets kicked back and not sent. Your next step if you want the parts is YOU NEED A VIN NUMBER. Once you provide G.M. with a vin number they have to process the order by whatever means they have to. If this means BRINGING THEM BACK FROM
JAPAN then thats what they will do. Now untill you work in the parts department for at least as long as I have please do not try to tell me G.M. procedures all your doing is making yourself look bad cause you have absolutly no idea what in the world your talking about. If in all your infinet wisdom you see fit to actualy call a dealership and ask what intales on ordering these type parts remember its called a SPAC 88 CASE.
Hated one I never knocked anything to do with Street Line. They do have pretty good pricing on there parts. The only reason I didn't get my tailights from them is cause they were out for a long time and with my discount My price from G.M. Was the same as if I had purchased the tails from them.

Well I understand why you don't think it is worth it in your opinion. But my opinion I think that it is near Fair Market Value. But there is one little promblem about trying to figure out Fair Market Value with this car, There is no other car over here in the US like it.
I am glad that you have Priorities so do I. Could I afford the TRD Cavalier well Yes I can I could just run to the bank and get the loan no promblem. But right now I am putting a crap load of money into my Cavalier to finally get it to where I want to before I buy a Cobalt SS and the HHR(for the wife and kid) in May. I am also glad that you are saving up for your 2 girls education. We have something in common because I just opened up a 529 plan for my daughter at $25 a week and I am paying for my Wifes student loans that is costing me $250 a month right now, And she isn't even done with school. LOL O'well. I could go on about my other Priorites like $100 a week into my PSP retirement but I rather not go into all of my bills.
See you have a boat that is a priority for you, I'd rather have the TRD Cavalier
I said in my opinion cause its my freaking opinion. I respect yours I even wished you luck in the bidding if you were to try. So why then do you feel the need to attack me for my opinion? I think its great that you have a family and kids and I think its great that you could get a loan if you wanted it realy I do. I on the other hand would just have to hit my checking account and tap my savings a little but I'm not gonna. The boat isn't what I consider a priority its a luxury. If you do buy this car I hope its everything you've ever dreamed it would be. I hope it lasts you for years and years without any trouble at all.
But when you decide to try to sell it good luck getting anything close to what you have invested in it. Thats why I got out of building cars.

and gary as far as the edsel comment, what your forgetting as that there were allot more edsels out. so it took time for them to then out and become rare, with this car there were only 50 made to begin with. that is going to make it more valuble in some peoples eyes.
we understand you dont think its worth 25grand because you have bills jackalope. i personally wouldnt spend 25k on it myself. but im still smart enough to realise that the rarity of it adds value, and chances are good they will get 25k for it.

Ok, now here's a pic of the inside of the mirror housing... you can't see it very well, but it says TOKAI RIKA which is a parts supplier for Toyota, in Japan.
The actual mirror glass itself says TOYOTA TOKAI RIKA MADE IN JAPAN very clearly on the back.
Here's the rubber that goes between the mirror mount and the door. Hmm.. made in Japan it says..
Last but not least... here's a pic of the connectors and wiring... you can't tell in the pic, but the Japan-made wires are thinner gauge.. since GM goes overkill all the time (likely why they're losing money...? who knows... ask Jackalope the GM employee!).. the connector is notably different... much older, simpler, cheaper part than GM would use..
I GUESS THEY'RE MADE IN THE US BY GM, RIGHT?

I know it may seem confusing to some of you and thats o.k. believe whatever you like I do not care anymore. The car is built in Japan and usees all Japanse parts whatever.
I know where the stuff comes from if you like to think other wise go right ahead I won't try to stop you. You've been wrong for all these years so it must suck being shown that

If you or any one can produce anything from G.M. as to these mirrors being made in japan then I will most certainly appoligize. Untill then since I can get them Localy ( Lansing ) and not from japan and since they don't all come with jap. writing all over every box you have not shown me anything that would make me think what I've found out from G.M. on my own is wrong.

Sorry I should have explained clear enough for you to comprehend. The pic of the wiring was a comparison. The connector on the left is the Toyota Cavalier power mirror. The connector on the right is a GM power mirror. If you think they're the same, you need your head examined.
Just because there's stock in the Lansing, Michigan warehouse doesn't mean the parts were made in Michigan by Meridian Automotive (aka LESCOA, which you'll see on most of the plastic injection molded parts that are export-only).

Yes you are older than us. But you see we have been on this site for some time and we have seen our fair share of your types (Dealership employee's Sales and/or Parts Desk) that come on here saying that they are right and we are wrong. Expecialy the ones that have just singed up a month ago or so.
I would have been singed up in summer of 2000 if I had a computer I learned of this site from Steve ( The Hated One) while we were at a show called Heatfest Nationals. I would go to a friends house and browse the website until I bought a computer myself. Just to let you know jbody.org is the reason I bought my computer if it wasn't for this site I probably still wouldn't have one. lol
Just to refresh your memory what we have said before about the mirrors and such. Yes the Toyota Cavalier was built in Lordstown, Ohio and shipped to Japan. Once in Japan Toyota looked over the car and they added their side mirrors and other parts that they had that were made there. But yes they have parts in the Lansing Michigan warehouse we have known about that.
I know you keep on talking about that the Toyota Cavalier is only worth so much when it comes to like the KBB. But you won't find the Toyota Cavalier in KBB and so didn't some of my friends that have RHD cars imported from Japan. They go to an appraiser that specializes in show and rare cars. With that documentation you will be able to get insurance coverage for that amount and with that paper work be able to have a selling price. But what do I know I am just a little snot nosed kid.
Seems like this last 2 or 3 pages needs to be placed in the War Forum under the title TRD Cavalier is it worh 20-25K

mirrors or harnesses or switches in this country? How about this therory John... Some
were made here and later on they were made over there? Does that sound at all plausable to you? When G.M. runs out of supply from one vendor they will switch to another mid year sometimes.
How about this untill there is a deffinate answer from someone somewhere who is more qualified then you or I we'll just say they were built in both countries. O.k.?
