Hmm..
lost one early this year...
Picked up three in the last few years...
I figure we'll dump two, and pick up another one....
I got rid of mine 4 months ago. got it brand new in 99 and killed the engine after 4 years and finally paid off the engine and it died again so i threw it to the junk yard! and i got me a faster and nicer chevy
Mine is my first car, got it two years ago this past April as a 16th b-day present to myself
Still have it, but it'll likely be gone in around a year.
going on 7 years now and i plan on keeping it for quite some time, i love the @!#$. gotta keep it for driving all those miles for work, sure trucks are more fun but @!#$ that mileage, until i get a corporate gas card.
i'm on my second right now...gonna keep this one quite a while
Brian
Hmm... well...
My first J, the "Bottle Fed Zed" is gone... torched and written off.. I'm sure it's a cube by now. It was a 2000 Cavalier Z24.. silver.. see my reg.
My second J, technically, was an 85 Buick Skyhawk. The project didn't fly, we never did get the stock motor started, and we couldn't seem to get funds to buy a motor to make it into a race car.. so it got junked. Cube #2.
My third J is the white 99 Cavalier Z24 convertible. It's pretty much stock now, trying to sell it.
My fourth J is the red 00 Cavalier Z24 convertible you see in my sig. Or not.. if it decides not to show up.. again..
I'm currently looking for a $100-or-less, 95-or-newer project car... no need for a motor.. that will be my 5th J... project sleeper.

On my 3rd J-body. Had one from each gen '87 '93 and now '04. Probly will keep this for a while since the gas milage is very good. That and its too much fun to throw into the corners.
On my second, 1st was a 1988 cavalier RS with a auto 2.0 OHV
Current car I plan on keeping for a good while cuz it was a BIG upgrade from the 2.0
But I plan on buying another in a year or so with the eco

i still have mine for 5 years and a half now, but it is for sale now, because i need cash to buy a 4 season car. I don't have money to buy a winter beater this year, winter are really tough here! I am looking to lease a cobalt 4 dr, because i am planning to have child next year!

98 Z24
RIP Specks
I still have mine for 6 years. Plus my wife will kill me if i got rid of it. She will say i didn't spend our hard earned money to get rid of it. May get a minivan before we have the second baby then the cavy acn have an engine rebuild.
I can afford something much better but i rather put it in my house. I have over $60K in equity in it and we are adding an extra room for entertainment and closed porch will give more equity even with the cost of building it.

its been 4+ years for me.
but i also hope to keep my cav forever. i know it will probably never reach "classic" status, but i want it to be a time capsule of sorts....to show my kids what cars were like "back in the day". thats the plan, anyway.
