The Stealth Cavalier is dead... thanks everybody..

.. for being supporting and teaching me everything i know about J's in the last 4 years. today on my way home from class an idiot with no insurance locked his brakes and slammed into the back my cavalier. its totalled. im not sure yet what my next car will be, but i can definatly say that after being in two seemingly small accidents with both of the cavaliers ive owned, and seeing them get totalled so easily for minor collisions, im not buying another J. ill probably stick around here because i have a lot of friends on here and will ALWAYS HAVE TREMENDOUS RESPECT FOR THE J-BODY COMMUNITY. dont let those @!#$ers in other cars tell you your cavalier is crappy. and dont let them tell you that you wasted your time and money on a cavalier. i loved my car, and im sad to see it go. but its on to other things now. im looking at 350Zs and SRT-4s now... and maybe... just MAYBE... a cobalt SS. anyways. i put this in general because i havnt had a chance to upload the pictures of the wreck yet. but ill be sure to post those pictures as soon as i get them on here. Thanks again to everybody on here who sold me parts for my car, helped with random installs, and taught me all the many things ive learned about Js. I wished i had gotten a chance to get a JOTM or win a best of show or something with the Stealth Cavalier before it got hit, and im sure many of you never even knew i existed. but to the local folk here in ohio and everybody who complimented my car on here or at the bash... thanks for your support.
R.I.P. Mandy... aka the Stealth Cavalier

sorry to hear that man good luck with everything but a good friend of mine has an 05 srt-4 with the mopar stage 2 and is running or was running 27 pounds of boost of course with a different turbo. i went with him a month ago to see what numbers it would put down on the dyno and they for some reason thought it was all wheel drive forgot to change the dyno to a 2 wheel pull lol. so he has a dyno sheet sayin 479hp and 543lbs of torque lol. but ya since then he showed me a different sheet with correct numbers and has 326hp and i cant remember torque but it was around 350. youll like it sorry to rumble on just thought it might help in your decision and no im not against jays but sounds like you want something new and different.

ya for the money id say go with an srt-4 you will be happy with them. just have fun changing your oil those aluminium oil pans they strip real easy and is a pain in the ass to get the plug out but other than that you enjoy the car. also let me know if ya get one. friend of mine works at dodge and can get a discount on the stage 1,2 and 3 kits for them. wanting to say its 10% above dealer cost which saved my buddy who got the stage 2, 700 bucks good luck

sorry man I liked that cavy I had that silver cavy at Carolls house before the bash. Im not trying to be greedy but if you part it out let us know also the SS was a lot more fun than the srt 4 that is just my opinion but Im sure what ever you get it will be as sweet as the stealth cavy. Im sure the guys from the org. will support your new ride hope to see ya at the bash next year. Take Care Man.

Tired of hearing about all the rats jumping ship when the water rises.
(people ditching their J-Body for an SRT-4 because GM quit making them)
The whole point of have a Cavalier is to build it beyond an unimaginable goal.
By doing what other people haven't. & that way people say "that's a Cavalier?"
(I get that all the time at shows)
or "That Cavalier runs that fast in the 1/4 mile?"
But anyways, I'm sad to see you go. I think you had/have one of the cleanest
rides on here, bro. Truly sad to see it go. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
I will support your decision either way (SRT-4 or SS)

^^^^ i totally agree with your comments about people jumping ship and buying the other cars... i really do. and if i could keep the cavy i really would. but unfortunatly after 2 cavaliers, both totalled, im ready for a change. i really wish this never happened so i could keep the cavalier, though... so its not like im giving up entirely on the idea of modding a cavalier. its just that i spent 8 grand in mods just to lose it, and im ready for something thats nice in its stock form. i would never have sold my cavalier for an srt-4... i loved it too much. but today a jackass made it so i didnt have that decision really. its gone regardless of whether i wanted to leave the cavalier scene or not.

oh sorry... ment to put this in the above post but forgot...

for everybody asking about parting it out... it all depends on what the insurance company lets me do. i have the wheels, tvs, dvd player, and cd player out already b/c i plan to keep those. the side skirts and spoiler are in perfect shape and the front bumper just needs repainted so if they let me take those i will sell those for cheap. i do have the carbon tails if anybody wants those though.

the rear bumper is off because it got ripped off. it needs A LOT of work to be usable again. so if anybody wants it you can have it for just the cost of shipping. i will give it away b/c its going to the trash otherwise. but it needs a couple gouges in the urathane bondo'd or putty'd and the holes where the bolts went thorugh are litterally ripped out so im not sure how you'd have to rig up mounting it to the 1/4 panels.

wow i wish there was an edit button so i wouldnt have to post a thousand times.. i also have the stock skirts and LS Sport bumpers with lips as well as the factory trunk with the 00-02 spoiler on it. but ill put those in the classifieds so theres no need to post about them here b/c i know this thread isnt and shouldnt become a classifieds thread.

damn that sucks sorry to hear that but the main thing is that your ok (did you beat the other persons ass?) at least your going to stick around for others sake and still be supporter. it always happens to the ones that look good (or starts their project cars-this part i know for fact). how fast was the bastard going when he/she/it hit you? i swear i hate people like that! i vote along with others who are voting you to the cobalt ss, those are nice. Test drive one you'll love it (i did!) Whatever you decision though keep everyone up to date on how things are going. again sorry to hear about that. I know how much it sucks for something you work so hard on to go flying out the window in an instant. Best of luck.
