I do believe what they did was totally illegal and I'm sure your state's attorney general's office would love to know about it... if you haven't called an attorney yet, try the attorney general's office OR try the consumer advocate at your local TV station ... BTW was this a buy-here, pay-here lot or a big dealership?

Lovefastcars, its a big pontiac dealership. Everyone is right though, im not just going to bend over and take it, im way beyond pissed and im going to raise some hell tommorow. Im going into that dealership and im getting the f'ing car back whether my layer sues the living hell out of them, or they go the peaceful route and give me my s$% back. They f'ed with the wrong damn person this time. I swear, tommorow, actually, later on today, they will suffer the wrath of this crazy ass pissed off Italian. Normally im a pretty easy going guy, usually just let things blow over, but this time, its f'ing war. I will have that car back no matter what, im fighting till that damn f'ing dealership goes down, and they WILL, AND I F'ING MEAN, WILL go down. Ok. FUK Coggin Pontiac, i will make sure no one that i know EVER buys a car from them. WHEN i get my cavy back, and its financed and i own it and there is nothing they can do to take it back from me, i will go there and cause the biggest f'ing scene i have ever created in my damn life. Im going to make sure the customers hear what happened too. Ok, i need to take a few shots or something, im about to bust a blood vessel in my head. I do appologize about the abundant use of explicit language, but im out for blood (not to be taken literally) I will keep yous guys posted when i get back tommorow. I also want to thank everyone that has given me sympathy and tried to help me out, thats why i love the org. Peace out.

P.S The mods are going to luv this post, lol

Good luck... believe me causing a scene when there are lots of customers around usually gets you what you want ... but I would still report them to the AG's office and I woul definitely call Pontiac customer service... when I had a problem with a Chevrolet dealership, Chevrolet customer service got it taken care of within 2 days...

creating scene will help some , but just remember keep it civil , last thing you want is to have legal problems from any kind of threats , or of some other kind

I talked to my dad about all this, and he said he is going to help me out. Usually me and him dont talk or get a long all that well, so i was surprised. My parents got divorced because he cheated on my mom a bunch of times, and when he got kicked out, he was pissed that i stayed with my mom, and he never really let it go, he has always taken it out on me, and basically said im not his son anymore. He is going to give me 7grand cash so i can go up and buy the car flat out and then i dont have to deal with those assclowns anymore. I have to pay him back each month and he is charging me 10%interest, but thats ok, then that way i can still say im paying for the car and my parents didnt just flat out buy it for me and not have me pay them back. I called the dealership this morning when i woke up and i told them, if i bring u 7 grand, will u sell me that car? At first the dude was like "hell no", so i started to explain to him how the car was a major loss to him for the fact that i had done so much stuff to it, and i was going to be getting my money back for it all, and how the front bumper is cracked (someone backed into me in my own neighborhood). After a few minutes, i guess i said the right things, because dude was like "u know what? 7 grand sounds great, we will have the stickers off the car and it washed up and cleaned out ready for u to take it" So, in all all, i won. So, once again, thanks everyone for your support and help. Oh, one more thing. I LOVE MY CAVALIER.

Ummm, it is the lenders that have issues with you changing jobs, not the dealership. It is not a surprise that changing jobs fooked up his credit rating and caused problems. Lenders get nervous if you don't have job stability.

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I am not saying the dealership didn't do any wrong by letting him have the car for so long before letting him know they couldn't get the financing to go through.

Ok, so i guess everyone in this world is out to screw me over. I just talked to my dad, and he said the car is not worth 7 grand, so he will not help me at all in getting it. I should have known he was going ot do some crap like that, thats how he is. I guess i wont be getting that car back after all.

since we're on the subject of assanine dealerships, i just got my car back from mine
i took it in b.c the a/c went out and my reverse lights didnt work, plus the CEL was on
ok so the lights were under warranty - cool
a/c wasnt, they charged $50 for labor and then like $20 for freon - ok i guess thats acceptable
now the kicker
appearntyl when i changed my intake back to stock, i forgot to plug in my IAT sensor, hence the CEL, these @$%#suckers charged me $80 to plug it back in
i mean wtf?! $80 for literally 3 seconds of labor

Re: Damn Dealerships

it was was 01 z24 5spd, 43000 miles and it was in perfect condition except for a bit of paint flaking off the front bumper

How about a 2002 LS Sport Cavalier with 26,000 miles on it with some mods on it for 6,000 dollars? Interested?

Re: Damn Dealerships

This does not sound realistic anymore......c'mon, you put in 3-4 grand in a car and the dealership takes it from you? Without putting it bact to stock?

Can you please list the mods you have done to your car exactly?

I can't see a dealership reselling a car with 3-4g's in aftermarket stuff.

Let us know what you have done to it!

Im not calling b.s. and Im sorry your going through this but it just sounds unreal.
Re: Damn Dealerships
Wednesday, September 14, 2005 2:45 PM
You do realize that when you mod a car that you have financed YOU don't own it right? The place that gave you the loan owns it until you pay them back. Then you own it. So putting mods on that car was not the best thing to do in the first place. Especially if it was 3-4 grand.

By the way. Don't use the phone. Go down there and talk. So all that time you were playing phone tag @!#$ you right in the ass.

Good luck.
