having different ones for ag makes sense but why have them different for different forums?

I like the idea personally. Lets say someone has a lot done to their car, they can have a picture of their engine bay for the performance forum, a pic of their car slammed in the suspension forum, a picutre of their trunk showing off their system in the audio forum, etc etc

About time man... nice. I've been waiting for dynamic sigs...

ive kept my forums to forum code only for non Moderators/adminstrators.... and then mods and admins get HTML

i have a suggestion... can you put the forum code editor on the signature page... im sure it'll help out those who dont have img and url tags memorized.

hehe i also noticed that you used HTML to bold the title... haha good times...

I knew I overlooked something. That bug has been squashed.

Let me guess Dave, you were bored huh?

I've been meaning to disable HTML for a long time now. Its a security precaution maybe. As long as HTML is enabled, the means will exist for bad people to do bad things. Speaking of which, disabling HTML in the profiles is next on the list.

Machzel08 wrote:having different ones for ag makes sense but why have them different for different forums?

Because, the coding for the forums is pretty generic. Its designed so it can be reused on other sites as well. It just makes sense if I'm going to make it an option for some forums that I'll make it an option for every forum.

Good point, I'll add that to the list of stuff to do.

One more thing just added... (I just edited the first post and added it there too)

SIGNATURE DISPLAY! You can now chose if you want to see other people's signatures when you are reading messages. If sigs annoy you, or you are premium and don't want to see other people's questionable sigs when you are reading the AG forum, you can now disable them.

Question, I was browsing through the new options (BTW, like the new changes!) and on the lists of available forums, it has "GoGoGo" and "Stuff To Do" listed, also a couple others that are not specific to a particular forum.

Would selecting one of those set the option for the entire catagory of forums?

nevermind. didn't realize the border was done away with.

also i love the changes, just one thing. with the dynamic sigs what about if someone starts changing their things around and it happens to break a rule or two while their still trying to edit it. it'll show up in the posts breaking rules and they could get a warning or whatnot. only problem i see with that.

the list for the available forums needs to be reworked cuz if you try setting up something different for say "Go Go Go" it doesn't work. Plus theres a few in the list that aren't available to us anyways.

No ones answered my question yet- this means there are no more < and >, but now [ and ]?

If its that simple, I've been doing that for a long time now.

Re: MAJOR FORUM CHANGES!

^^^ that is pretty much it but as you can see your sig works so you have it right.

That is basically it. If you have been used to doing HTML before, the format is a little different. Most of the available options are listed on the Forum Code page, which there is a link to in the reply box.

thy dynamic changes dont apply to thread starting post names, shouldnt it change the thread start if u change ur name?

and when ur posting it says author at the top, when i changed my name for a forum it still shows my default name
