i owned:
1990 Cavalier sedan (Sold)
then i bought the Z
2000 Z24 2.4 Auto (current)
then i bought a:
1998 Sedan 2.2 5speed for a winter car (For Sale!)
and i just bought another:
1997 2.2 5speed coupe that needs alot of work, so im fixing it up and it will be my new daily driver
so right now i own 3 cavaliers lol
they are just such easy cars to work on and i can do anything on them, have done motors, trany's, interior, exterior, suspension, cant think of anything on a cavalier i havn't ripped completely apart atleast once lol. and parts are dirt cheap. if you can pick up cheap ones fix them and turn around and sell them you can make some descent money. but hopefuly once im out of school i will be driving something else everyday, after having so many i realy want something else, i need a change!
tho im sure the Z24 will be sticking around for a long time, i got way to much into it to sell it....
1st. 95 2.2L Cavalier,no power options whatsoever
Current.96 Cavalier convertible LS(2.4 motor though),power everything
The only reason I bought another J was because I had parts that wouldnt fit on any other car and I wanted to make use of them. I like J's and its a cheap reliable car to drive for now until I can move onto something with a v8 in it.
Even though I've had times where I just wanted to sell it,chances are I'll have this car for a very long time because its still a blast to drive in the summer.
Id like to say I have had thousands. I worked in the rental industry for 8 years. We had lots of J's. They served us well when we were in operation. I know what people do to rentals and they say J's are not so good cars in peoples opinion, but I would disagree.
Anyways,
'99 Sedan 3SA 2.2
'04 LS Sport Sedan
Consideing that I'm only 20, I've had.....
1989 RS
1994 Z22
1999 Z24
they were more beaters tahn anything excpet for the '99 Z24. I'll keep it clean
I'm only 19 and i've had a few j's...
first i had my first baby.. my 1988 z24 sportin' the highly underestimated 2.8L motor
then i had a 1992 z24 with the 3.1L motor i was completely disappointed in that car it was not nearly as good as the 88'
and now i'm rollin' in mah 2000 z24 which i must say is now my fav of the 3.. and i wouldn't trade it for the world..
well ya i'm outti.. later pplz.
Ive had my share... this is my third
1998 Cav RS
'01 Z24 (black -- got totaled)
and this one (the fast one
)
Ive owned 5.

Oh just realized the typo... my other 01 Z24 was blue.
'96 cavi auto-- totaled a month after i got it
'91 cavi auto-- POS broke down on me everyday (but runs great for my dad so he kept it)
'98 cavi auto-- WONDERFUL car...
and im planning for my next car a '02 cavi manual...
My very first car was a 89 cavalier 2.0. Great car. Trtaded it in on a 97 Z24. Another great car. I traded that in on a 2001 Z24. Just a AWESOME car!!!! I had a 89 cavalier wagon 2.0 for a while. For $125 is was a good car, and sold it for $500. I also have a 96 Z24 turbo (Grim Reaper), and for a short time my Dad and I owned 90 cavalier 2.0. I have had a few. Never owned anyhting other than a J. I can say I will always have a J.
FU Tuning
Right now I own a 2000 Cavalier and my 2004 Sunfire GT both cars are great so far no problems.GM made a mistake doing away with the J body .Not saying the Cobalt is a bad car just pricey compared to a J with the same options and engine. And that with the cost of gas now on the way up again think how much more market share GM could have had and how many more multiple J body owners there would be Oh well still lots of good used J,s to be had.
Thats Him Officer The WICKED One.

I owned a 1986 RS with the digital dash. A 1995 2.2 4 door. Now have the 1998 Z24 which I plan on keeping for a very long time. All my J's have been very reliable and have never left me stranded. Even when the water pump went out in my Z, I filled up the resevoir with water and drove on the freeway home. It never overheated. These J's are dependable.
98 Z24
RIP Specks
I had a black 1997 2.2 OHV auto Sunfire from when I started driving five years ago, and wrecked it this year four days before my 21st birthday (stupid St. Louis drivers) and I got a metallic blue 2003 Ecotec last month. It doesn't have the same sentimental value my old one does, but it's a big improvement.
