Would you hit it?
Saturday, November 12, 2005 5:55 PM
I figured if I posted this any other way, it would end up in AG.....

Noticed an interesting Cav with what I though might be an interesting price.....

2003 Cavy Sedan LS (Blue)
Auto, 36,000 miles..

$4500 (US)

I might take a peek at at this....

Good deal? Think this should replace the wagon as my beater?
(a well loved beater, of course... )

Your thoughts?

This is the first time I've seen one this cheap...but then again, I don't look much either....

LMAO, that is awsome. I would definently hit that, I had the chance to pick up an 04 with 16,xxx miles for $5,000. I got a buddy that is a mechanic and he said that some old guy was pulling in his garage hit a piece of concrete putting a hole in the oil pan and was selling it for that price.

come on, what could go wrong with a cavalier?

I'd hit it..... pull the eco, sell it, swap the front over to a 00-02, throw in a 2.4 5 speed, and turbo it

all jbodies drop in value quick, not just the sedans...
i know you didn't mean anything by that comment about sedans...but i just did some quick research on kbb.com

2002 4 door z24 55,000 miles
trade in = 6225
private party = 7720
retail = 9325

2002 2 door z24 55,000 miles
trade in = 6100
private party = 7595
retail = 9200

so ha, my sedan is worth more than a coupe!

Wow- that could be why it is wearing 95-99 sunfire rims....

Carlos- Thank you-very much. Sadly, I had a feeling...

They said that they also had a 05 blue sedan too...makes you wonder if that could
be an issue with that cav too....

Damage like that might not have been caught....with a curb? Interesting...

Sparks-I could not agree more....

Though it would have been nice to have another eco.....

Re: Would you hit it?

eh, give it another year and you'll be able to pick up the 2002 cav/sunfires that carried the eco engine for less that 5 grand.
