2003 Sunfire = 2003 Sunfire ???

ok my flame/rally yellow 03 sunfire is the only one in my small town, but not any more....an auto center got one in, exactly like mine, and i stopped and looked at it today. its an 03, 5spd with an rksport header and magnaflow duals, with 36k on the clock. mine is an 03 with just a greddy muff and 23k on it, with an R-title.

the salesman said he'd trade me straight up, cause of the mileage. i told him id think about it for a day or two, and get back to him. it pulled a little bit harder than mine does so im thinking about doing it, just to get rid of the R-title for a non. whats everyones opinion? go for it or forget about it?

is the R title meaning your car has a salvaged title ??

if they will trade straight up , it would be worth it plus having the extra mods

That should be an easy decision then. Right off the bat, the car will be worth more for when you actually sell, plus you get a couple extra aftermarket goodies. If he wants to trade straight up, then go for it. An extra 13k miles isn't much compared to what you'll be gaining, as long as everything else is in good shape.

Does he know you have a salvaged title? That sounds like the dumbest thing for them to do.

i told him it was salvaged, and he asked to see my registration card, and he said it woudn't be a problem....im going tomorrow to get it....if anyone knows, whats the charge for transfering titles in PA? i forget already and i just did it like 3 months ago...lol

yeah its in good shape, the exhaust needs a resonator cause its to loud for my likings, but other than that its a complete duplicate of mine.....thanks guys!! its as good as mine

id definately do it. get rid of that R title, cuz it will come back to haunt you later when you really wanna get rid of it. the extra milage isnt really much, but id also make sure you get some kind of waranty trade off, or something, cuz at 36k, its right past the warranty period.

it probably wouldn't have been a straight up trade anyways. seemed a little fishy to me. dealership wouldn't trade you their car for one that was crappier...even if it did have less miles.

GO PATS!!!

actually if his car had come back clean it would have made sense. It's easier to sell a non-modded automatic than a modified manual.

Sorry to hear man. Would have been and awesome deal.
