my dad has a 05 cav. its got aem cai, and the carbon fiber bezel. its got like 7000 miles on it and he wants to sell it to me for 5000. only thing is thats its auto. i hate autos. is it worth buying it? would doing a tranny swap be stupid? should i just get somthing different thats a 5 speed?

If you don't want it I'll buy it for $5K. That's an awsome price.
A tranny swap could be done, it's not that hard if you like working on cars.

an '05 cav for $5k is a very good price. i'd buy it and do a tranny swap if you want a manual so much.

How could you turn down such a new car, with that low miles, for such a low price?? 5000 dollars anywhere else would get you a 5 speed.... WITH 143K MILES! lol, c'mon dude, it'll be totally worth it to buy the car for 5K, and have a tranny swap if you want a 5spd that badly.

Seriously, if you want a manual because of 'speed', spend the money from the tranny swap on performance parts. You WONT be sorry if you do it right.
