So I started the GMSCF.com so that the posters of the ClubCav could have a place to post and keep up with each others project cars etc.
It's a place to post, hang out, and unlike the JBO, isn't all about hardcore gearheads wanting to know the infinite wisdom of all things that are cars.
I'm quite happy with the user base we have there and it's only going to get bigger as time goes on.
So really we all have our preferences in where we go to post when we want.

JBO has been my home since 1999 and is where I grew up. But JBO has always been a place of being hardcore which has driven people away because the simple answers can only be replied with 'do a search'.
I had this issue years ago but unlike those that would walk away from a great resource as the JBO, I studied the stickies, the links, and the posts that make the JBO a great place and tool to learn about cars.
So now I'm contributing back to those that are wanting to know and ask those questions that we've all heard many times before.
Welcome to the GMSCF.com.
CC may be dead but we're not.
We're not out to compete with the powerhouse JBO, just to be a place that can help in ways the JBO can't.
And besides all this, many posts do refer the JBO as a source of information to our members so really, we're in this all together as a group of people that love cars.

Thanks for listening.

Another thing that I believe us doing with GMSCF was to make it not platform specific. Nobody can deny the fact that the Cavalier, and the j-body in general.... is dead. And on top of that, as people get older, wiser, and probably have a bit more money too they move on to other cars. Since the death of the j-body, and the delta has come around looks like a lot of people have moved onto the Cobalts. Which, I would still love to see more Cobalt guys on GMSCF.

That and I like Rick's whole idea of not moderating the off-topic section. That beats paying however much a year to see the AG forum and all the fun exciting blasphemy that goes on in there.

Its $20 a year. A buck and some odd change a month is worth the blasphemy and porn.

I havent ever checked out ClubCav. I just always assumed that since I have the redheaded stepsister of the Cav it wasnt for me.

I've had the membership before. Made the decision not to renew it. Wasn't really worth it.
