Im looking at a Canadian car. So how would one go about changing the cluster and such over? 2000+ mileage is stored in the BCM so what would the American cluster read?

Apparently, you can also just swap in a US-spec cluster, and the mileage will switch from kilometers into miles. I've never tried it... but this is what happened when someone (a long time ago... might have been KenZ24) swapped a US cluster into his Canadian car...

John.

i'm pretty sure country is in the BCM as well... because you can change it to mexico to disable your DRLs ... but since you have to get a USDM cluster anyway try that first...
