16 inch to 14 inch rims

Hello all, i have searched for the last hour but can't seem to find what i'm looking for. Cavalier is an 04 4 door that came stock with the 16 inch rims. My question is, can i put 14 inch rims from another cavalier on my car without any problems. The reason for doing so is i want the smaller skinnier tires for the winter. This is by far the worst car i have ever driven in the snow and its starting to get old. I'm planning on getting snow tires on the 14's and put the 16's back on in the spring. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yes, a 14" wheel will work. 195/75/14 is what I had on my 1992 Cavalier. Should work great on the snow.

thats what I have done too... 195-75/14 is the perfered size for winter tires for the 14s, I got 205-75-14s to fit though, got a really good deal on them and they have worked awesome so far.

Thanks for the responses guys, My main concern was brake sizes possibly being a problem. I know some vehicles have different size brakes for different models and was concerned with that. The other reason to going as small as possible is for the price of the tires. I found a guy selling 14 inch cavalier steel wheels for 10$ a piece. Figured wouldn't get any cheaper than that. If anyone has anything too add please do. Thanks
