Has anyone ever heard of it being done?

I-6s are know for the compactness of the layout. I honestly am surprised the I6 isn't common in FWD cars. It should easily bolt into the factory location with more room then the I4 it's replacing.

I miss my Cavalier, even if it made 100 hp on a cold day and had more suspension then it deserved.

Someone fit a Northstar in a Cav, not exactly a compact engine. So an I6 is do-able.

True but if you stick with fwd like that guy did, a v8 still isn't 6 cylinders in a row sideways.

This might fit. It was also used in Suzuki Verona's in the USA and Chevy Epica's in Canada

Oh absolutely. Just wanting to be clear that it's never really been done even with a v8 swap
