I guess at 69 I'm old fart as well, but I can appreciate the 2001 Z24 with 5 speed recently acquired.
I brought it back from a girl owner. I probably don't have to say more.
It smelled like cigarettes and a house of ill repute.
After a bunch of basic mechanical stuff, and a thorough cleaning inside, it's getting looks and, "Cool car ! What kind is it?" from young and old.
I did remove all the badges and stick on script except for the chevy emblem on the trunk lid.

Joined originally in '99 I think.... I can't believe that I stumbled back across ol' JBO.... or remembered my login. LOL

A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the crickets no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is a shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow in the morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

This place sure isn't as lively as it once was, but I still click across here every once in a while.

2001 bitches... but I was one of the first people to mod a jbody (1996) that I know of, then I met a bunch of assholes like Lenko and whatnot..lol... I bought or so Eibach told me one of the first sets of pro kit lowering springs shipped to british columbia...it sucked, springs sagged so it looked like a sportline drop..definitley different from later versions...bought an early hellwig rear swaybar.... installed energy suspension control arm bushings..etc etc etc... those were fun days...then I played with the ecotec engine....recently traded that in for a 2013 ford focus hatch titanium... its a daily driver but already have some mods for it coming.

Don't buy from MANTAPART!!
There is no easy ways to get HP, no magic box or gizmo... And if you get more hp, there's no way to make your car still behave and sound like a stock one. More hp usually makes your car louder, more vibrations and harder to drive...but still people hope or think maby there's some magic way to have it all, comfort, stock sound and drive.
