Glad I didn't post my mug then.

In some ways I'm glad we didn't have post counts here...as I could picture some of us having like 30- 50,000 posts or so....

Well...been a few years I guess...stop by from time to time to see who is here since I kind of got started in cars with my J.

I found JBO back in late 2001 while I was in Japan then joined JBO.org in June 2002. I bought a 2002 LS Sport from Exchange New Car Sales to be delivered to North Dakota in Feb 2002. I was looking for a Z24 with the 2.4 because of the GM Supercharger I heard about but couldn't get one since it was past August 2001...only the LS Sport was available with the Ecotec 2.2.

In the end I got more than I wanted and after 6+ years of modding, moving the car from N. Dakota to Germany to Texas and then selling in Texas...I had a blast, learned more than I'll ever remember and met some of the best folks I have ever in and around the J scene...even to this day! Went to the 2003 or 2004 Bash...don't remember to be honest and took home 2nd or 3rd place for some category?? Met Karo and a lot of other folks...had a blast!

My Cavy took home so many trophies it's crazy considering it was a Cavalier...best of show twice while I was in Germany, 2nd place at an All Japanese Event (I told them it was a Chevy but they said who cares!) while I was in Germany, best body kit (Type J) at the second largest car show in Germany (it was American and the only Cavy there!), GM special guest at HIN Dallas in 2008 (with Section8Cavy and a the crew from Austin Tx), and many more that I'd have to go read the plaques on the hardware! I even made it in the 2008 or 2009 J Body Calendar that was here on JBO! Really!!!! I have a corner full of trophies and still have a couple copies of that calendar and enjoyed all of it! Crazy stuff!!!! LOL!!

Shout out to JBOK and the crew there...one of the best if not the best group of guys and gals (Michelle) you'll ever run across! Beleive it or not, I only met one member from there in the 6 years or so I posted on that website...1!!! But they treated me like they had known me their whole life...thanks!! GM of SA and all those guys and gals who welcomed me back to the states in the summer of 2008. I sold shortly after (Oct 2008) for a 2010 Camaro SS...which was t-boned by a Mustang 16 months after I had it!! My Camaro was a 2009 SEMA car sponsored by RKSport too...it was a beauty to say the least!!!

Got to sign the traveling shirt too back in 2007 or so...took that shirt for a ride on the autobahn and it had a blast! We sat down for a cold dunkel weizen as well then I sent it on it's way!

Today I daily drive a 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie but have a 2008 Corvette Z06 (replaced the Camaro) and a 2010 Challenger SRT8 (Plum Crazy) hanging out in the garage I get to drive on nice days. Don't mod much at all now really as I just bought cars that have everything I want...horsepower!!! LOL! I've also retired from the Air Force after 26+ years, raised two children (19 and 21 now!) and still happily married to the greatest lady in the world after 22 years! Life really can't get any better!!!

Still talk to a couple guys from time to time but thought I'd see what was going on here while enjoying an ice cold New Beguim 1554 and saw this thread so said what the heck...

Hey JBO!!!!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

Wow, I can't believe I still remembered my password for this site.
My s/n has been on here since sometime before the 2001 Bash, which I went to as well. Good times.
Sold the cavalier about 2 years ago, Bought a Scion TC.
Good to see some names that are rather familiar as well.

I signed up back when I bought my silver sunfire coupe new in 2004. Never been very active but looked here today for the hell of it. Today its still my one an only car with 291,000km (181,000mi). Besides the usual basic maintenance and brake jobs I only had to replace rear struts twice, left front wheel bearing, and the clutch hydraulic line so far. Mostly highway miles for me. I just baby it an hope it will last me at least till I get a solid job again.

Why? I've had at least one J body for the last (now) 16 years....no shame in that man. Things are rough out there, and there is nothing wrong with having a paid for car to drive around in...

I don't get jealous of other peoples rides anyway.....I have other things I enjoy, like my family and my house.

Besides, your ride still looks good man,,,

I'm still here, sort of. Still have the 99 Cavalier (with 240,000 miles.) Not much time for the .org lately, what with a family and all. And I still have my "2002 J-Bash" sticker covering a bunch of scratches on my trunk lid

Your right, and honestly I still love driving them. Besides, I finally have my dream boosted Z-Cavfire ive always wanted. In this day in age its nice owning a car you know like the back of your hand and if it breaks you know exactly how to fix, and cheaply to.
