Hey guys, my mom has a car that I will be taking over and need to put it in my name. How do I go about doing this in Ontario? Like what do I need in order to switch the name on the ownership??

have her sign the title over to you and go transfer the title to your name.

yup...or at least thats the US way to do it.

you'll prolly have to have her sign it over to you, and have a letter stating there is no lien on it from whatever bank previously held the lien.

You can apply for the tax exemption for cars being "sold" between family. Make sure you do that first because they base the taxes on book value and not sale price lik they used too.
