Sport Compact Warehouse experiences?
Friday, May 16, 2008 5:09 PM
I'm thinking of placing an order with Sport Compact Warehouse and am wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I've searched & came up empty handed! It's looking like I have to order from them due to my preferred companies not having what I need, but going with a company I've never heard of and can find little info on feels risky

Found this on their "contact" page... a bit interesting.

NO SHOWROOM.
NO OVER-THE-COUNTER SALES.
NO WILL CALLS.
NO WALK-IN SERVICE.
NO EXCEPTIONS!

Other than no physical address given, the site atleast seems legit.

No physical address on the site, but a simple lookup puts them here:

No Limit Enterprise
1139 Station Rd
Bellport, NY 11713

The president is Robert Hane & he also operates compactwarehouse.com and import-racer.com. They've been operating since 4/1/01 & are registered with BBB where they've only had 1 complaint filed in the past 12-36 months, which they refunded.

Seems pretty legit, but I couldn't find a single thing about them online as far as anyone posting an experience. For my own peace of mind, I had to try to find anyone with experiences and at least try to get more info on how it went.

what exactly are you looking to buy from them that you cant find anywhere else?

i say just use a CC and if you have any problems, have the CC company drop the axe on them. theyre usually pretty good about "shoot first and ask questions later"

I say talk to Jason from A+ and see if he can get you what you need...

Instead of taking the risk of getting screwed...

I'd stick with JBO posters.

I would if I could find a reputable one that carried what I need
Guess I'll post up again after I order, thinking this is who I'm going with.

what are you looking to get that no one has?

just because they might not have something listed on there websites doesn't mean Jason from A+ or Aaron from TTR couldn't get it for you.

its worth a shot.

IIRC, someone ordered a Hahn Racecraft turbo kit, and they had removed components from it, and made them 'optional' - while still charging full MSRP.

Make sure you use a CC!

I have talked with the companies that I will deal with & they do not carry what I want. There are others that do carry it, but I will not put money in their pocket for something that happened in the past. Maybe that'll clear this up.

Kind of correct. More like this.

The other part was in the past & it only effected me, it had nothing to do with actual service as far as shipping parts or anything along that line. I prefer not to talk specifics about it here since I hope he remembers what happened & it doesn't involve anyone else Judging by what I keep reading, you fans are all safe to keep ordering, it was something else for me.

^^ How about I take $20 off the price shown there, add on the regular ground shipping, and call it a day?

I apologize for what happened. I really don't recall the specifics as it was 3-4 years ago. I remember vaguely what it is regarding.
I'd like your business and I can help you out. If you really don't want to though, it's obviously your choice.

Thanks for the apology. I'll keep your price in mind, but as of right now I can't order anything just yet We've had a sinkhole develop & just found out that insurance won't cover anything, so I've got to get that squared away & save what's left for a trip in early June. So now I'll probably look to order in June while the Sunfire sits another month. Yay! I'm sure my guy lined up for paint will be thrilled as well.

I'd say with the BBB registration & nearly zero complaints, they look pretty solid.
