Having car shows for OUR cars?!
Saturday, June 25, 2005 10:10 AM
I have been too 2 car shows in the last month that said all makes and models and all categorys from best sound to best lowrider, and everytime i get my car ready to show i get there and they are always old cars?! i dont mind seeing old cars because i really do like them its just like god every show is like for muscle cars. Anybody else have this happen to them its just dissapointing cleanning your car for 4 hours to realize that ther are no cars like yours around.

At least here in Colorado, seems like every Sonics fast food joint has small car shows on the weekends (friday/saturday nights) during the summer. Check around your place.

just sounds like your going to the wrong shows mark. check your local sport compact clubs and websites to find out where the sport compact shows are in your area.

Ben you have an Idea on what it takes to do a car show. Why don't you try to do one on a small scale yourself and make it bigger once you get a hang of it? Maybe do one in place of a J Body meet or something. Don't know just trying to give out ideas. I know here in Dayton we have a couple of shows. And the CC that I am in is talking about bringing back the car show it used to do. They usually had well over 300 cars and that was before the Fast and the Furious.

Man, you should've got to "Hot Import Nights" when ti was out here. The show had about 50 or so cars, and damn near most of them were entierly modded Neon's, Cavalier's, Civic's, Eclipse's. I thought it was cool, but I didn't see any Celica's, Tiburon's, Supra's, etc, yet the show was called "Hot Import Nights", but the cars that were there weren't even imports!

The Gibraltar shows are pretty Ghetto Fabulous. And they are usually for all types of cars but have a seperate "show" for sport compacts. Won't catch me at one of these.

Hey guys start your own show, thats what I did with Tuner Style, there isnt a show like this for a 2 hour radius.

It was a huge success and I started it because there's no shows for us sport compact guys, best of luck
