Haha! It's called insureance and owning a trailer and truck It's very simple to do so. And driving 8+hrs to a bash a tow bill home would be very expensive, maybe when you make over 450 you can say something:.....

Martin, MI,

If everyone is concerned about a track, that's our local 1/4 mile and IMO will blow any of the OH track's we've raced at out of the water.
I don't care if the bash is close to me, but I will extend that info. Track is located in between Grand Rapids, MI (home of ZZP), and Kalamazoo, MI (home of Chewy and Kevin Richter, LOL)
Im down at Martin quite often. Awesome track, and a new casino nearby too.
I wouldn't mind going to MIchigan for a bash, Id bring all my OSU gear too
Any of the states surrounding Ohio.
What about Indianapolis? Its been talked about before, seemed to be a favorite in the past.

Problem with going that far north is it alienates the people in FL TX and the rest.
Want hub spacers rear disk brackets or trailing arm bushings? Shoot me a PM.
True

truck... check
trailer... check
insurance... check (they only cover up to $100 for tow bills)
450.... working on that
I trust my car to drive there, as well as drive back. I dont trust to drive, race, drive home. I would just rather drive it 8+ hours, to me thats part of the fun, hang out, drive it home. Not to mention gas bill would be cheaper driving the car alone. In the event I did break driving it, I would obviously have to call someone to get me. No matter what driving that far is taking a chance. If I want to race and go for record times, I like my close tracks and love racing at both of them. Racing at the bash would be cool for everyone to see for sure. But after seeing the last few tracks we have been at, and the quality of the passes those racing, it seemed like a lot of work for them only to get 1-2-5 passes and not be very good ones.
Location discussions will be starting more in depth soon. Just gotta get the time together to do so.
Ill break land speed records at a healthy 17 seconds
hey its still racing! regardless if its a 17 second pass.
Im also glad we have a lot of immature bitches still around here too that cant put in valuable input and have to hide behind a tag. Way to go people, and glad you are putting your two cents in to make this better. oh wait, you're not...

I forgot to mention Deja Vu for Erod's famous strip club trip is in K'zoo too. LOL! F OSU on the Erod note too
.
IRP is the only venue we've went with an awesome track, and the hotel location was also great (Holiday Inn IIRC). However the heat while there, not many people wanted to run, but that doesn't have any factor. Was a proper track regardless of the heat and humidity which is hit or miss anywhere.
My first suggestion is keep it in Ohio. This event will never be a CED, or anything big, sorry but it won't.
If that suggestion does not work, then how about all the staes with active members, host it every year. So a different state. Moves it around for everyone to get a chance.
Lastly just plan it have it. People who are going to show will show.

I dont get who the second part of Vinces post is directed at..
question: does our racing have to be 1/4 mile, or 1/8 mile....I remember in past Bash's discussing AutoX. Just a thought.....

This!
As long as the drive is under 5 hours I think we can get Jareds car there. In my honest opinion CED wasn't that great, other than picking ZZP's mind and hanging out with them all weekend!
i would def say 1/4 mile for drag racing.....1/8 miles seems pointless to me
