bash area question
Monday, December 22, 2008 11:32 AM
I was just wondering if anyone down in the Cincy area know of any campgrounds in the area of the Comfort Inn or Edgewater Motorsports Park? I really want to come to The Bash this year, but unfortunately I am on a fixed income. It isn't impossible to put the money together to get down there, but would definitely make planning easier if I had a backup plan in case I can't afford the hotel. I realize it sounds a bit petty and even a bit lame to go to a campgrounds when everybody else will be at a hotel, but being there and doing a little racing with my fellow enthusiasts is my main priority. Not to mention camping would kill 2 birds with 1 stone due to my wife and I loving the outdoors. Yellowbook.com has a place called MAPLELEAF TRAILERPARK listed as a campgrounds on Harrison Avenue about 2 miles from the Comfort Inn. Is this actually a campgrounds or a trailerpark as stated in the name? I would really appreciate any insight on this topic. Thanx in advance.

I live right next to Harrison and the only campgrounds in the area are at the park. http://www.hamiltoncountyparks.org/rec_camping/mwfcamp.htm
Real nice park and only a couple of miles from the host hotel. Maple leaf is a trailer park.

That campgrounds is about halfway in between the track and host hotel. Not to mention is 1/3 the price of a reservation of the host hotel. This puts me one step closer to being at the bash! GREAT info!!! Thanx
