I'm actually considering trying this. I have read the posts that have been previously made so I am educated.
One thing that stuck out in my mind though....
Since we put 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 in the brake booster line, 1/3 in the intake, I realize that an oil change is required after all the smoke.
What happens to what's poured into the gas tank? How does that evacuate?
What happens to the 1/3 in the intake? (I assume it goes out the exhaust)
Anyone know?
I also read that on the bottle it says to use the treatment every oil change or something like that.
Do you guys use this stuff that regularly?
Does it cause your injectors to get clogged?

Last time I did it I put half in the brake booster and the rest in the gas tank. From what I have read on other forums you only need to do an oil change if you pour it into the crankcase. So 1/3 in brake booster, gas tank, then oil. Haven't put in the intake before so I can't help you there.
You might get a misfire code after you use seafoam. The last two times I used it I did but it didn't come back after I cleared the code.

WHAT IS SEAFOAM IM RETARDED????
When put in the gas tank it gets burned like any other fuel system cleaner. No it wont clog injectors. Any poured in the intake gets burned as well, but it hits deposits in the intake system that fuel doesnt, particularly those left by oil from the crankcase vent. If you use a good oil, especially a synthetic theres no need to use it in the oil every oil change, but a good shot in the fuel tank every 3K miles isnt a bad idea, even an intake cleaning if you have the time. Its kinda fun to do in the intake, since if you have alot of deposits it smokes like a mother out the exhaust...looks like your car is on fire.

i had my intake tube off while i was fixing my leaky valve cover, and i poured a whole can right into the throttle body (while the engine was running, of course). i only have 40,000 miles, so i didn't notice a huge difference, but i figure it can't hurt
actually, putting it in the intake is the same as putting it in the brake booster line. goes to the same place. i would do half and half.

i know, i just figured while i had the opportunity, i'd carpe diem. plus, i couldn't get the check valve out of the booster
where is the check valve on the booster line on a 2200?

where is the brake booster or intake that you dump the seafoam into? The intake im thinking of is where the air filter is?

You know that large black circular donut on the back of the firewall to the right? Theres a hose connected to it, thats the brake booster.
Also, by intake, it usually means pouring it thru the Throttle Body ( though I honestly don't trust doing that ).
Went ahead today and used Seafoam, worked wonderful lits of white smoke, haha, cool

its a good time.last time i did it was about 9000 miles ago, and it thru the brake boosterline and the TB. also put it in the crank case and i aldready had some lucas fuel system cleaner so i didn't put any in the gas. there is nothing wrong with pouring it in the TB.
that seafoam is a god. poured it in the booster, the gas and oil. smoky but amazing
ok, I run midgrade in my car, which I heard cleans out the motor, so is seafoam required to go in my tank?
what if I just put it through the throttle body, and brake booster?
I really don't trust pouring it in the oil, but that's just me.
when it goes in the throttle body, do I have to rev the car while I do it, to move the butterfly out of the way or what?
I just heard of this so I was thinking about trying it, without messing anything up.
i did this the last time i changed my oil. No smoke though

i was kinda wondering what is going on, and the engine seems to spaz out when you take the booster line off lol. Scared me for a while.
2000 Cavalier Sedan.
I usually put about 1/3 of the Bottle in my Fuel Tank
The other 2/3 into the TB
I poor it slowly until the car sounds like its about to stall out, wait for it to regain normal idle then do it again until the bottle is empty
Question,
I put 1/3 of a bottle into the oil(crankcase), I was told it was supposed to smoke alot(lots of white smoke)
I've had it in the oil for 24 hours now(only run for maybe 40-60 miles)
I haven't seen any smoke what so ever.
Did I do something wrong?
Also, I just changed my oil wednesday, put the SeaFoam in Saturday.
Do I have to change my oil now?
The directions on the bottle didn't say anything about having to change the oil out.

If u put it in ur oil it is not going to smoke, also you really shouldn't be driving it for very long with it in ur oil. U need to put it in ur brake booster line, or throttle body for the smoke effect. I did mine about a week ago thru the brake booster line. I have 123,000 miles and it had never been done. I've never seen so much smoke in my life. But i have went from around 25mpg, to 31mpg so i am a very happy customer.
Could having the seafoam in the oil cause a knocking sound in the motor?

yes, because you're not supposed to drive the car with the seafoam in the oil. as seafoam is a solvent, it
BREAKS DOWN OIL, AND TAKES AWAY THE LUBRICATING PROPERTIES. very likely you've just damaged one or more of your bearings. at most, you're supposed to let it IDLE 5-10 minutes, then drain and change the oil and filter.

Well I sure wish the bottle said that...

Well read my post in here "motor problems after changing spark plugs" or something like that.
Does that sound like damage bearings?
Or is that just a sign of something about to break?

If I put mine in the brake booster gas and TB, do I have to change the oil still?
