HELP! Wire pulled out of 93 Cavalier ECU connector!
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 8:18 PM

I was messing around with the ECU tonight, and a purple wire pulled out of the connector. The Hayne's manual says it's the "SENS GND" (sensor ground?), and it goes to the MAF sensor, I've confirmed this with a mutlimeter. What I need to know is which pin it's supposed to go to, or if it can just go to any pin with a 0 ohm connection to ground. BTW, this is the 2.2L motor, 92 and 93 J bodies with that motor should all be the same harness. Thanks!

Hi amp man

my '93 2.2 info says it's the MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor) Ground Pin D3 on the ECM(32 pin C-D connector on ECM)---PURPLE wire Circuit 455---to Pin A on the MAP sensor.

Thanks for the info, and sorry about the MAF/MAP mixup, I meant MAP sensor. I discovered earlier tonight that any ground pin works, or at the very least gets rid of the terrible skipping and nothing blows up

You're welcome, it's good that it's fixed
