How to access lifters on ld9

How do you get access and remove the lifters on a ld9? Car is a 2000 z24. I am getting really tired of this annoying ticking noise and I want to see how much work is involved and any gaskets/ parts that need to be replaced in the process.

On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

Just an idea but have you changed the exhaust gasket yet?

Time consuming and tedious.

You have to remove the timing set in the housing, remove the cam gears, then remove the cams. Then you can access the lifters to inspect.

I replaced the exhaust gasket when I changed my timing chain and water pump.

My car sounds like a baseball card on a bicycle wheel.

its pretty much everything you did to change the chain, plus remove the cam gears and housing, then you can take the towers off. pain in the butt

Anyone have any idea why my car sounds like this? Stars around 1500-2000 and is really loud around 3000. I can make a video.
