I use all different types of oil...and I plan on giving it a try in my Cobalt. As long as it protects well, that is all I care.

This company will be using this on their race car at Sebring next week. I'll be taking a trip over there to see the car and hopefully getting a chance to talk with the crew. If they use it on a 12 hr endurance race, it should be plenty strong for commuter applications.
Hippy? Really? (I hate to get political here)Think of it as patriotic as everything in that bottle is all home made and not using some other's country crude oil. Environmentally safe is really just a plus to me and I don't have to wear a tie-dye shirt either.

Well it has reached atleast the Walmart I go to.
Price:
$6.43 per qrt
$26.00 for a 5 qrt jug

When I took a trip at Sebring to see their Mazda race, they were saying that they were using their racing oil. Either way they came out 6th overall while running a 500HP 2.0L 4cyl. (not bad as it also finished a 12 hr run)
Their artcle.

Not gonna knock it since im not gonna try it, but just reading, bio oil already has me not a fan. I know how bio diesel is in any diesel ive ran it, and it sucks. Not saying oil and diesel are the same, but so far im against the bio stuff. I just like sticking to a company that has had the same oil out for a long time and only changes the bottle. They must be doing something right...

To a degree i agree with you as it been perfected through out the years. But bio based motor oil is relative new technology for the common market and this one is really nothing to sneeze at... that is if you have an open mind of new products; one that has been proven in endurance races with stout engines.
If it didn't have the approval of the American Petroleum Institute, i would not be putting this on my cars, but the rating it has is one of the latest in the market. And the icing on the cake is i that it is all made here, can you say that with the petroleum based oils that the competition offers.
Not starting an argument, but just stating facts as I'm guessing this is oil not popular as this "bio" name is being synonymous with a "tree-hugger" ideology, like buddy up there.^

I like the bio oil because they are deciding the base from which the oil will be derived unlike non synthetic conventional oil which is limited by the ratio of brontosaurus to t rex divided by sea creatures in the sediment.

missed out on this one but let us know the results if you do a oil analysis after the service time;
