03 Cavi, I Lost My PCV Hose............

It was a brutal battle with the alternator and I had to open it all up some to work in there. My hose must have taken a hike into the outgoing trash so whoops. Either that or it's buried down in there and I don't feel like dumpster diving in search of it. So since there is no PCV with this engine I was wondering if I can put a piece of hose on there with a barb end into the air box and run run it like that?

What you're describing seems fine. Any hose that is strong enough not to collapse under vacuum is fine. The key will be to make sure that it's sealed well in the intake box/hose where ever you decide to place it.

Don't just throw a small filter on the valve cover, as I'm sure some people will suggest. It's my experience that these motors need a functioning pcv hose that is connected to vacuum to operate properly.
