2005 Sunfire slave cylinder

Was driving home yesterday and the clutch went to the floor. Filled the clutch reservoir with fluid and pumped it a few times. It looks like it was leaking from inside the bell housing. I'm assuming this is the slave cylinder, just wanted to check before i remove the trans. Thanks.

Yup slave is shot. Unless the clutch has been replaced recently might as well change it all.

Hi Jake,

Before you get into replacing the clutch and slave cylinder, double check if your hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder is OK.
Mine was punctured by a body bracket the line was rubbing against.
Bad engineering from GM, there really should have a been a recall for this.
It is a question of when and not if the line will fail with the symptoms you describe.

Good luck, Peter
