My 2004 Cavalier needs rubber in the motor mounts. This is a toy so I am wanting to experiment with cutting an old tire and use the rubber to rejuvinate the mount. Has anyone ever tried this?

not what your saying. The rubber is not gone, but stretch/broken on the inside.
I have seen stock mounts taken and welded to make a solid mount. picked up 2 tenths in the 1/4 with one.

I made one with mc carmasters urethane. Was like a rock then.
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.
