2002 eco swap

ok guys i have a 2002 cavalier z24 with the 2.4 L twin cam i have found a 2.2 L ecotec from another cavy but its a AT trans and i want to keep my car a 5 speed so can i just change the motor motor mounts ecm and bell housing or do i have to find a 5 speed trans for the 2.2 eco

Make it easy on yourself and get a manual trans for the Eco. I'm not sure if you need to change out the mounts or not for your individual swap.

2.2 Ecotec is better then the Twin cam 2.4 L ?

You may be able to find a bell housing as all ecotec f23s used the same bell housing.




On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

ok thanks for the replys one of my other major questions if i just changed the bell housing would i have any issues with the the wire harness or the ecm not excepting the trans that i have in there now bc like i said the eco i found has a auto trans the f23 i have is the 5 speed for the 2.4

re: antonio jenkins from my research the 2.4 liter doesnt have many mod options other then the super charger. from what i have looked at and researched it seems there are alot more upgrades and performance parts for the 2.2 eco if you wanting to build one with a turbo seems like in my project that i have in mind the eco is what im wanting bc the parts are available and im not talking about ebay parts lol
