1991 Chevy cavalier se light problems
Monday, March 02, 2015 2:13 PM
So i posted this earlier but never got an answer. The headlights, 12v, interior lighting, and the backlighting to the dash no longer work. I let my sister use my car and the first day she had it it had been snowing and the lights had stopper working. I have already checked the ground and they are all fine. I don't know what else to do i have thought over this for a very long time.

Are you asking the same thing you asked in the 2nd gen forum? You need to make a complete list of what doesn't work. What you're saying here is different than there. With a complete list, someone can look at a wiring diagram and tell you. Or you can look at the owner manual and see what fuse everything is on in order to trace power.

What doesn't work electrical wise:

So you checked ground. How about fuses? And also check the light sockets them selfs. Take the bulb out, get your test light. And check the wires for power when you turn the lights off and on. Maybe the car had a surge of some kind and any light that would have been on got fried.
