I just repaced my clutch in my '03 Cavalier, when I put the transmission (F23) back in, 1st and 2nd gear were "missing" but reverse still works, i changed the shifter tower and cables, but they still aren't back, help?!
Adjust the shift linkage end where it attaches to the shift lever.
There are two. You need to adjust the one which moves when you move the shifter left/right.
When you adjust the shifter cables. Make sure the shifter is straight up and down and on the back is a big c shaped pin. Push it in and it will lock the shifter in the center position. Adjust the cables then take the pin back out. Also make sure you put the cables on the transmission correctly.
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.
Would i do that by bringing more of the white cable into the clip, or less into it?
And ok, the c clip isn't on the shift lever, ill put the old one in, i had no idea that that's what that pin was for
