Need to replace the water pump in my 2002 cavalier, but the belt tensioner wont budge. My manual says to turn the bolt to loosen tension but it does not. I have seen others not use the bolt and simply press against the tensioner to relieve tension but mine doesnt move when doing that either.
Any ideas as to how to get the belt off?
Cut the belt off and replace it along with a new tensioner.
