96 2.2 cavy with oil in airbox

does any one else have this problem, I have oil in the airbox and hose leading back?

i have had oil in the air box but it came from me recharging my k&n airfilter.

that oil is from the hose going into the top of the valve cover yes? I have oil in mine too, its generally normal for some oil to be there in my experience, but not a whole lot. The engine needs that valve cover to breathe, and instead of just letting the oil get all over the top of the valve cover they put the hose on so the engine couild suck it in and burn it, but its not the most efficient thing. I wouldn't worry unless you take the box off and half a quart pours out.

Guys... this is normal. It happens, its called blowby and its normal to have a small amount of oil in the airbox of any engine. Thats what its there for, it routes the oil back into the engine to be harmlessly burned off.
