Quick question

How long should you wait for your car to cool down before installiing new plugs?

longer than 5 minutes like i did
you should be good to go in about 20 minutes to be safe. i burned myself so many times not waiting

yeah 20-30 mins should be good. I guess it depends on the temp outside oh how long it'll take the car to cool off. Just make sure it's still not hot and you'll be fine.

My '04 Factory Service Manual says to allow the engine to cool before removing the plugs to prevent damage to the threads in the aluminum heads. It doesn't say how cool, but to be safe, I wouldn't rush it. It's not worth repairing or replacing a head.
