Sluggish acceleration...weird pop noise at WOT

Changed out fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, changed oil/oil filter, transmisson fluid/filter change and ran seafoam(gas tank, throttle body, oil pan) all in about 4 days(last Thurs thru Sun)...major tune up for my 99 Cav 2.2 88K miles....now in the past 2 days(Mon and Tues) starting off cold or hot at about 20 mph there is sluggishness in accleration and trying to gun the engine I have heard "pops" like a firecracker in the front of the vehicle...till I get to above 50-55 there is no problem with accleration...the car runs smoothly! The start and go is pissing me off! No CEL, nothing yet! Also at idle(like waiting at a light the car "kicks" or "jumps" and it feels like it will stall but it picks up and idles like normal)...all unsettling b/c I take care of my car dammit!...all I can think is coil packs...but the connections are clean though there are some hairline fractures in the plastic housing on the coil pack connectors.

Anyone have any probs like this after tuneups?!?!?!?!?

make sure the spark plugs are tightened down, if they are loose that can happen. also, make sure the plugwires are tight on the coils and the plugs themselves. check the spark, that really sounds like an ignition problem...im betting when you replaced the plugs or wires something wasnt tight.

Make sure you put them back in the correct firing order and check the gap on the plugs. Should be .050 on the Autolite Platnium plug. I do hope you atleast put Plat. plugs in as this is the standard OE plug type from gm, if you run standard resistor plugs this will also cause problems.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.

Yeah I have Autolite Plat plugs gaped at .050...I'll re-check the firing order

Checked the firing order, made sure the plugs were tightened....still sluggishness!

Popping noise definetly sounds like one of the coils or wires is grounding out to the chassis or engine instead of the plug. Does it do it with the car in park/neutral? Try reving the engine and looking for a spark. Could try this at night.

Just reread your post and if you have cracks in the coil, that's where I would start. See if you can borrow some coils from a freind and swap them out. See if that fixes it.
