Changed Coil Packs but...

Changed Coil packs this morning and now the car runs worse than yesterday

Now the car shudders majorly, popping noises still occuring but now more frequently! Stalls or dies sometimes when stepping on the gas. slow acceleration! the muffler is now starting to putter

Spark plugs are tight and gapped properly! New Spark Plug wires seated properly!
Coolant level normal. Oil level good. Transmission fluid good. I can hear the fuel pump as I always have.

What else have I not thought of? fuel injectors?

i have a 2002 cavy with the 2200 and the wires going to the ign module shorted out on the module bracket. I had a miss from hell and new plugs and wires and coils did not help . went to the Chevy dealer and this is what they said "scp diag p0300 dtc and running condition due to shorted ckt 406. the wire was shorted at ign module bracket. cars runs like new again.

yeah the ignition module opens the primary in the coil, so the voltage jumps to secondary. That would usually result in a crank no start, i wish I would have read that before you wasted your money on a module.

You have already wasted enough money take it to a professional. Or if you have a friend with a scan you can use it to find the miss with the misfire counter, to isolate the missing cylinder. Throwing parts at it is stupid if you don't now what your doing pay some one who does.

Thank you for saying that, that line should be said more often on this board... espicially when people say things like LISTEN BRO...CHANGE UR IGNITION MODULE!!! ITS THE IGNITION MODULE!! and then it isnt the ignition module.
