i have got a newer engine for my car a 01 2.4 engine, my car is a 96, so if get another tranny does it have to be a newer type i know they changed or does it matter, my car is a 5 speed

They changed after 99 i believe. isuzu for 96-99 then it was the getrag after that. So I believe you need to get a getrag or your in for some work getting the isuzu to work.
