Engine feels dry??????
Monday, March 07, 2005 9:42 AM
Alright, I post on here frequent and like to thank you guys for responding to them, I appreciate it

Now, here it is. I just recently changed my automatic shift cable (I believe thats the terminology) It snapped inside its tubing because the way it was routed there was to much stress where the cable and the engine met. Anyways, a couple of days later I added BG44K fuel injector cleaner to an almost empty tank then filled it up once I added the product. Well my car has not sounded right lately. It use to run kinda smooth but know it feels like the engine is dry, meaning that , it feels like I can get a feeling of parts moving in my engine, kinda like it wasnt lubricated internally, I know this sounds retarded but I am explaining it to the best of my ability....lol. Also when driving it seems like my car shifts early in first and second gear and the pick up is not the same, little slower. Anyways, here is a list of mods that may help with answers:

2002 ecotec, auto, upper and lower motor mounts, pacesetter 4-1 header, aem cai, and borla cat-back.

Thanks Org
Alex

LoL....yeah bro, I checked the oil....Love your sig man!

I know it sound weird but I tried to explain it the best I can. It all started I guess after I put in the BG44K fuel injection cleaner, but I don't think thats the issue just a coincidence.

Most common cause of such strange noise comes from the serpentine belt .

After checking the alighnment of belt to all the pulleys (which won't take but a

few minutes) can you let us know what you found ?

odd, my 02 ecotec with 28,450 miles seemed to be a bit sluggish the last few days.

im finally insatalling my upper and lower mount. changing plugs, flushing tranny and cleaning the throtle body.

hopefully that will get her back to normal.

the temp did recently come up a little (outside, not my cooant), that may add something, but if its not normal if not better after the maintence. im gonna be pretty upset, it just doesnt feel as strong as normal.

Sound like a clogged fuel filter, maybe when you put that cleaner in, it loosend the varnish in the tank(especialy if it ws really empty) Try changing the fuel filter, they're cheap enough...
