This might sound crazy. However I have 2004 cavalier and it has been back to the dealer a few times, but most recently was for a winning noise from the rear of the car. The dealer says it is the fuel pump and that it is normal that it all cavalier fuel pumps are noisy. Just wondering if it is true cause it is the first time i heard this ,and i wonder if i am getting the shaft from the dealer.

Well u could always do a fuel pressure check and verify the psi is on the specs.A noisy pump is normally a sign of a pump starting to go badThey should only b heard b4 u crank the car not while it's running. That's my assessment of the story.
