clutch problem
Thursday, March 24, 2005 1:43 PM
i just replaced my tranny in a 96 with the 2.4 5-speed and changed the clutch engager (throw out bearing) and whent to bleed the clutch and the pedal goes all the way to the floor and you have to pull it up. it is not the clutch bc i replaced it a year ago but the car gas 130k on it. we tried to pump it to bleed it and did this for ever and there is still no resistance in the clutch. would anything in the master cylinder or anything have to do with the fluid part of the clutch cause this problem? the main question is why is my clutch not acting right? before i changed the tranny, the pedal let out kinda far. it caught about half way out before it engaged. is that normal for the 2.4 or not? and what would cause it to engage so late. please help me. i am so frustrated. thanks. ..o yea, i did keep the straps on the throw out bearing and made sure everything is hoocked up right.
