19892.0 liter will not start. Shop says $250 for distributor and $200 to put it in. Sounds like alot. Is there something special to doing it. I am good at car stuff but I have never tried a 2.0 liter distributor before. Can the whole dist. just go bad? I never heard of that before. Any info would help, thanks.

2004 ecotec 5 speed. Injen intake, better plugs and wires. Just lowered it and added a wing.

Yes they can go bad. They can get play in the shaft, the gear teeth can get kinda nasty. As for changing it on a 2.0, I dont know.
