Replacing A/C Compressor
Thursday, April 28, 2005 3:25 PM
This weekend I'm replacing the A/C Compressor in my wife's Cavalier. My dad is helping me. We have everything we need to recompress the system. We just need to know how much oil and R12 the system takes. Does anyone have GM repair manual pages scanned or info? Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

R12?!?!?
Maybe you meant to say R134a.
And the amount of refrigerant you need after everything is evacuated is on the radiator cover.
And the amount of oil you put in is how much you take out.

This cannot be done without an a/c exchanger.
