I have the stock Radio/CD Player in my '97 fire, and it started spitting out every
CD I put in it, and displaying E20 error. I've seen some issues with this, and some people say its caused by a bad disc, humid air, rough road, etc., but this has never happened before, and now it does it for every CD I try, and some are brand new. I just want to know what anyone else has done to resolve this? or is my stereo done?

Does it do it even while parked? If so, sounds like the lens might be dirty or out of alignment. I would try to use a cd-lens cleaner and see what happens first. If that don't work, your stereo might be toast.
Error Codes On Gm Radios What Do They Mean?

According to that link:
E20 : Focus Error Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity. If the problem is not corrected, service the unit at an ACDelcoŽ Service Center.
I had the same problem in my 1999 Sunfire, checked w/dealer and they said it be too much to fix so I ended up getting another CD player off of Ebay.
It started out only doing it in the afternoon, but in the past 2 days, it does all the time, parked or not. I think i will be shopping on ebay

whats the deal with the radios for the Sunfire/Grand-Ams, can I use a newer one?
are the wiring harnesses compatible? I've seen the monsoon radios from the Grand-am on ebay, and newer 2000-2003 models.
