My starter is DEAD. lol and well the mechanic said he cant tell what kind i need until he pulls it out. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind to put into a 98 sunfire 2.2L 2200 engine. The two types were a normal one and another drive kind but it was 60 bucks more. any one got info?
Gear Reduction was the other one.
WOW thats news to me, 2 types of starters, I just thought the 2 types of starts are NEW starter and Remanfactured in which Remanfactured, would be $60 less, Cause the new one has 100% new parts used.
My 98 2200 has a standard starter and I'm pretty sure my 02 2200 has a gear redux. They sound quite different when starting up.
